An EraBright update
A Message from JaMichael
When I started EraBright in 2016, the goal was simple: help small businesses get found online and compete with companies ten times their size. From the beginning, I carried a special commitment to Black-owned businesses, because I saw firsthand how often great companies were overlooked simply because they didn't have access to the right marketing help.
Over the last ten years, that mission took us further than I ever imagined. We partnered with businesses across dozens of industries, built lasting relationships, and watched search evolve from ten blue links to AI-generated answers. Through every change, the work stayed the same at its core: helping real people with real businesses reach the customers who needed them.
After a lot of reflection, I've decided it's time to close this chapter. Part of that decision comes from how much our industry has changed. Search algorithms shift constantly, and AI has changed how people find businesses and how businesses market themselves. Tools that once required an agency are now in the hands of small business owners, often for a fraction of the cost. Honestly, that's the kind of progress I've always wanted for the businesses we served. More of them can now handle their own marketing, keep more of what they earn, and put that money back into their companies.
The rest is personal. Running an agency is demanding in ways that pull you away from the things that matter most, and I want to be more present for my family. I've also missed the energy of building alongside a stable, consistent team, sharing ideas, and working toward something bigger together. I'm ready to bring my experience into that kind of setting again. This wasn't an easy decision, but it's the right one.
To our clients: thank you for trusting us with your businesses, your brands, and your goals. Many of you became more than clients, and I'm grateful for every one of those relationships. If you're a current client, you've already heard from me directly about next steps.
To everyone who worked alongside me, partnered with us, or referred a friend our way: EraBright existed because of you.
